So the story goes and I love a good story: Sometime around 1909 a California art glass craftswomen living in Santa Barbara went outside at sunrise to check on one of her horses and saw the most beautiful sunrise just edging over the San Gabriel Mountains behind her house. The reflection of the sunlight on the Pacific Ocean in her front yard inspired her to create a shade she called San Gabriel. The shade went on to become one of her best sellers. Quoizel’s reproduction features colors of: Sunrise Gold, four tones of Amber and Sky Cream. The shade is 100% art glass both copper foiled and hand set.
